There is a lot of advice all over the internet around anxiety. It is such a good thing to know that many of us are being open about how we feel, and want to share what we do to help. It is really important to talk about mental wellbeing and share about what helps us.

There can be a great range of things from sleeping better to saying no more in an effort to not waste time on pointless tasks. But there is a big range of things that work together to help, and it can make a difference to your anxiety. If you can commit to more then it will help more. So here are some things to think about.

Meditate

Being calm is something that only you can do. You can be in a zen spa having a massage, but if your mind is running a mile a minute, then you won’t actually feel calm. So take some time each day to have some time to yourself, where you can be alone, and can think, breathe deeply, and allow yourself to be calm. It can set you up for the day and help you to be open-minded and even.

Practice Self-Care

Self-care is such a buzzword at the moment, but it does exactly what it says. It can make such a difference to how you feel. Daily, it can be tricky, but there are things that can make a difference. It could be going for a massage, having a haircut, or going for a manicure. You can feel more maintained and polished and it can help you to feel good and feel confident and calm.

Cut Down on Caffeine

There can be a morning jolt of caffeine that can improve your day. It can give you some comfort, but with ingredients including caffeine, then they can be worse for you than you might think. If you’re used to having caffeinated soda at a certain point in the day, for example, then you could go for a herbal tea instead, for example. Caffeine can really get your nervous system jacked up, which if you’re not feeling at your best, or are left feeling quite anxious, then it can make you feel much worse.

Find Items to Help

There will be some items that work best for other people and their anxiety. Some people find things like CBD helps, and other people will find things like a weighted blanket can help. But knowing the right level of CBD oil to use or asking yourself how much should your blanket weigh to help with anxiety, all need to be thought about. It will be different for different people, so you just need to take some time to research and give some things a try. Then you can at least eliminate your anxiety as much as you can.

Declutter

When you live in a messy and unorganized home, then it can add to your stress and anxiety, rather than taking away from it. So it is important to think about decluttering, in order to live in a home that is mess-free and has only what you need. You can get anxiety over things being missing or lost, and that can be much easier when there are less places for things to go missing or hidden behind. It is a small step but it can give you a clear head and make a difference.

Go Green

The foods that you eat and the diet that you have can really impact your anxiety. Having a glass of green juice or celery juice in the morning can help you to be on the side of being calm and reducing your anxiety. For one way to get your veggies in, then you should think about trying out a recipe like this:

  • one banana or a green apple
  • a handful of kale
  • sliced ginger
  • one lime,
  • cucumber slices
  • handful of ice cubes,
  • one cup of water

Add it all to a blender or a juicer, and then you’ll be good to go. It can be a small thing to help your day to start it off in a good way, and help you to reduce your anxiety. Limiting how much processed sugar you eat, as well as processed foods can make such a difference to how you feel. Give yourself a chance and eat well, and then it can go a long way to helping your anxiety, as you won’t have any forced adrenaline that can come from having too much sugar.
