Work out What You Are Interested In
You are much more likely to become an expert in something if it holds a high level of interest to you. This way, learning more about it and enhancing your skills will feel like a pleasure rather than a chore. If you have been working in a particular field for some time, you are likely to find that you are already well on the way to becoming an expert in it. And while this may be the easier route to take, if you don’t see yourself working in this field in the future, you are going to need to start from scratch. Next up, you need to actually practice what you are learning. Say you want to learn a foreign language. You need to go out and speak it rather than solely focusing on the grammar. The final stage to teach what you have learnt to others, which will help to give you a new perspective on the knowledge that you have acquired.
Becoming an expert in anything is going to take hundreds and hundreds of hours of dedicated learning and practice. But it will pay off in the future career opportunities which you have in front of you and different paths which you could go down.
