Do You Still Have a Chance for a Piece of YouTube Pie?

YouTube shot right to the stars in the last few years, propelling many people’s careers and even making them multimillionaires. So, it’s only natural that you’ll get inspired and decide to launch your own channel.

But now there’s much talk about how YouTube is dead, or at least dying.

This doesn’t seem like truth because video content is only getting more popular. However, it’s a fact that the platform is packed with vloggers of any possible kind. Therefore, getting noticed there is now a tremendous challenge. And getting to outshine the current stars is even harder.

There’s also another issue to consider, which is YouTube’s changes to its algorithm. It seems that they are ruining the flow of traffic to many of the top youtubers, which means those people are getting angry and upset. What’s even more important is that they are moving to other platforms.

So, do you have a chance to become the next YouTube superstar?

The chance is always there, but it’s really tiny today. However, you are still able to make some money on this platform if you create high-quality long-form content. That’s what’s ranking high on YouTube these days.

To make that content bring you money you should:

#1: Incorporate Ads so You Can Monetize Your Videos

But you’ll also need to advertise your channel, and actually pay for top slots. This means that becoming a YouTube advertiser is a long-term strategy that won’t bring immediate returns.

#2: Use Affiliate Links

In essence, this is one more type of advertising. However, affiliate links will allow you more flexibility and provide more money fast. This would be a great option if you plan to focus your channel on reviews.

#3: Get Funding From Fans

This option would be possible once your channel takes off. But once it does, draw inspiration from YouTube gamers and see how your fan base donating might make video monetization seem like pocket change.
